This has been the best year ever in reading. We got to do book clubs, we have blogs, and a we have a great reading teacher. I think I have excelled in reading and I have started to love reading books. I wish I could have you again next year.

I think that Isabella and her friends are not the popular kids. According to the text, Isabella and her friends were bumping into the boys table. They were also trying to make fun of them to try to be cool. I predict that Isabella will do something heroic and she will become popular.
I think that Isabella is getting used to switching houses and she is happy at both places. Based on what I read, Isabella had a great time with her mom and John Mark at the bowling alley. The book also stated that she had a good time shopping with her dad. I am suprised that she had a great time at both places.
I think that Isabella likes to be at her dads house more than her moms house. According to the text, Isabella’s dad’s house is bigger and more fancy than her moms house. She also gets to see Darren and she loves to see him becasue he has great stile and is very cool. I predict that Isabella’s dad and Anastasia will get married.
I gave White Bird three stars because it was a good book but I don’t think the author spent enough time explaining the characters and everything just happened so fast. I also think that Sara’s mother shouldn’t have died. Favorite Character
My favorite character was Julien. He showed so much kindness all throughout the book. He even dealt with people bullying him and he had no one to stand up to him, not even Sara.
My favorite moment in the story was Sara’s birthday. That moment just really showed that they had hope because they heard on the radio that the war was almost over.
I think that Sara and Julien would have got married and had a great life when the war was over. Based on the text, Sara admitted that she liked Julien, and Julien admitted that he liked Sara. Sara also heard on the radio that the war was almost over. Usually auothers like to make things seem like everything is going to go great and the rest of the story is going to be all happy (like when Sara heard the war was almost over), but they make something sad happen (like when Julien was killed).
I think Vincent will go back to the barn. Based on what I read, Vincent and his friends went into the barn and found Julian there. They beat him up because they thought he was suspicous going into the barn right after school. Usually when people think someone is suspicuos they won’t give up untill they know that they are not guilty. I predict that Sara will get caught by Vincent.
I think that the nazis will find Sara. According to the text, Sara ran and hid in the school instead of hiding in the forest. Then Julian found her and took her to a safe place. The nazis had a list of 15 kids and they only had 12 kids so they went out looking for Sara and 2 other kids. There are many nazis and only one Sara so the nazis have an advantage in finding her. I predict the nazis will find her but she will escape from them.
Any Small Goodness by Tony Johnston tells a story about a cat that goes missing but is soon found and returned. At the begging of the book Huilita goes missing . The family starts to worry and they start searching for her. Then the family gets a phone call. Somebody found Huilita! The family goes to get her. Then the family figures out that the man risked his life to save Huilita. He showed a true act of kindness.
I gave “The Bridge Home” four stars because I loved the adventures that Viji and Rukku had together. Even though there were some sad parts (like when Rukku died) and some happy parts (like when they found Kutti) but overall it was a really good book.
My favorite character was Rukku. I was very impressed when she made all that money from making necklaces. Rukku made so much money that they even had extra money that they could use to go to the movies after they bought food. Overall she is just an incredible character.
My favorite moment in the story was when Rukku found Kutti. It just showed how happy Rukku was and she was smiling for the first time in a while. Kutti just made everyone lighten up and always could cheer Rukku up.
